Pilatus B4 4,5m

The moulded Old-timer Pilatus B4 is still very popular amongst the modeling enthusiasts. The popularity lies in its simple and robust construction, which allows for an easy access to the electronics in the fuselage, and in its flying qualities during the thermal and slope soaring, as well as aerobatics.

The fuselage of Pilatus B4 is of a shell construction, consisting of layers of fiberglass. The construction allows the model to absorb a large amount of energy. The cockpit has a moulded seat, seat covers, upholstered side panels, control levers, a control panel. The canopy opens to the side on two hinges, just the way it is in the real plane.

The wing is of a sandwich shell construction. The wing spar is made of fiberglass and carbon. The attachment of the wing to the fuselage is carried out by the extention of the wing spar and secured by a pin, just the way it is in the real sailplane. The strength test revealed that the wing resists a multiple of loading N=20.

The Pilatus B4 is equipped with Schempp-Hirth air brakes, fixed landing gear. The model is equipped with immatriculation and stickers.

If the customer wishes, the colour of the standard decals can be changed or these can be completely custom made.

With basic equipment, the Pilatus B4 requires seven (7) servos, i.e., elevator, rudder, ailerons, airbrakes.
